By July 1, 2017

This October, Medellin will host Latin America’s first fair for eco-friendly products and services. According to the organizers of the conference, corporations are evolving their business models in the 21st century, and one of the strongest trends in the consumer market is eco-friendly products that reduce the consumer’s carbon footprint and minimize their impact on the environment.

The conference, which has been hosted in Asian countries for the past 10 years, will be held from October 5th to the 7th at the green pavilion in Medellin’s Plaza Mayor. Medellin is hoping to remain the host of the conference every two years thereafter.

With this conference, Medellin’s public sector hopes to increase awareness in Colombia’s private sector of sustainable production techniques as well as responsible consumption.

The event is expected to draw more than 15,000 visitors and will host 60 stands and 6 national experts. The conference will last 3 days and have 3 experimental forums where sustainable practices will be displayed, with products ranging from household appliances to transportation solutions and clothing.
